It is our desire to see a renewal in the Church - Universal and domestic - through Eucharistic encounter.

I didn’t grow up in the Church. In fact, I was the kid heckling my peers as they came out of youth group on Wednesday nights…until, as a young adult, I hit bottom. The Lord found me there and I began to recognize that He had been speaking to my heart all along - calling me into the love of the Good Father.

A friend invited me to a retreat, and soon after, I met Christ in the Eucharist. Those encounters with Jesus are what ultimately called me to conversion and I began RCIA to enter fully into the Catholic Church.

Music has always been a part of my story, so it naturally made its way into faith life. From there, the Lord led me into years of music ministry and youth ministry in the archdiocese of San Antonio.

Now, while my full-time work is in middle school and high school youth ministry, my heart is still drawn to leading worship and those moments that lead to deeper encounter with the Holy Spirit and Jesus in the Eucharist.

WHO WE ARE

We are worship leaders who desire to lead others to Christ, especially through Eucharistic encounter. In our journey as domestic church, we also recognize the deep need for healing in marriage and family life and want to provide others with the resources that continue to help us along the way.

I’ve always had a love for music, but when I heard contemporary worship music in high school - especially when prayed before the Blessed Sacrament - it changed my life. It was more profound than anything I had experienced before and brought peace to my heart during a volatile and confusing time.

My experiences as a young Catholic formed in me a passion that not only led me to become a parish music minister and youth minister in the archdiocese, but also led me to my future husband.

Together, Jason and I were given opportunities to minister together - still one of my great joys in life. We constantly sought out opportunities to learn and grow in our faith and ministry. We developed a great love for theology, especially as it relates to marriage and family life. That theology became very real and personal to us as we were married and began having children.

Once the kids outnumbered us, ministry became a bit more difficult to juggle. So, I now work from home helping others take a natural approach to health and wellness (you can find out more about that here).

However, when I’m able to, I’m still so grateful for any moments I get to lead worship - especially with my husband - and the way it brings us into intimacy with Christ and the community we get to pray with.

Life is pretty messy for us. Living our Vocation can be gorgeous and grueling all in the same moment. We definitely haven’t figured out all the answers, but with a whole lot of help, we’re learning that the Lord is using our Vocation to refine us and stretch us so we become who He desires us to be.

We know very well we aren’t capable of healing the Church - Universal or domestic. We aren’t even capable of healing our own brokenness. But we are confident that the God of miracles - the God who healed the servant, the hemorrhaging woman, the blind man - that the God of Scripture is the very same God we worship in the Holy Eucharist. And if He should only say the Word, we will be healed.

Our mission then, is to invite others into Eucharistic encounter so that Christ, the Divine Healer, can renew the Church - starting with the family.
